Given that we're one week out from Valentines, how do you feel about the approaching quasi-holiday? Will you participate or abstain? If you're not in a relationship, how will you celebrate your single status?

Since I'm not in a relationship I won't be celebrating *laughs*

But I defenitely don't mind Valentines Day. I used to be so jaded about it as an angsty teenager (for all the cliche reasons) but I've come to enjoy the holiday.

Considering how hectic a person's daily life tends to be, I really don't think it's a bad idea to just have one special day in the year to show that special someone that we care. I prefer to see it as a day to remember the importance of love in general.

Do you have any holiday traditions that extend all the way back to childhood? How about family recipes? What are they?

My grandmother always makes sausages for the family on Christmas Eve. We eat them on buttered buns. It's actually really good!

And we've also opened the majority of our Christmas presents at her housesince my parents got divorced, about 7/8 years ago.

Yes. I went to the Rammstein concert on Dcember 6.

AMAZING~!

Interesting fun-fact: I went with my dad, who is 50, but he was definitely not the oldest guy there. Lots if older kids came with their folks, infact. I went to the bathroom and I found a girl (older then me) sulking to someone about how her mom didn't wanna go. Quite an interesting phenonema that, it puzzled me at least.

Rammstein has been around for some 15 years now, so maybe fans of the first hour? Anyway.

We had to drive for 2 hours to get there, and we arrived after 16.00, with the concert starting at 19.00. Lots of people there already at that time. We were ushered to a parking space and then had to set out for "our" entrance to the stadium.
It was damn windy and cold so we decided to just get in line and pick up food, drinks etc. inside and for now make sure we stood nice up and front in the qeue. It was a smart move with 40 000 people there :D

Eventually we were all let in around 17.15 as the crowds roared in excitement.

Inside everyting was very lovely arranged. Plenty of different foods and drinks and me and dad definitely craved a warm bite at that point (dad even complimented their cappucino). They let us walk in and out of the stage area, so after we knew where our places were we went back to the hall to eat, drink and walk around to look at people. Dad treated me to a lovely Rammstein shirt (seeing I was the one who bought the tickets) and around 18.30 we decided to take our seats to avoid pushing and pulling.

At 19.00 sharp the opening act kicked of. It was a metal band called CombiChrist that I didn't really like (and dad hated so much he actually walked out). They played until 19.30, and when they finished you could immediatly feel tension rising in the hall. The last wait was on...

The lights went out for the second time at 20.00 and everyone (including me) went crazy. And immediatly Rammstein began showing why these 40 000 people loved them so much, even after a 4 year wait. They played about half of their new album and plenty of their old hits like "Sonne', 'Ich Will" and "Du Hast". The enrgy in the stadium was manic, everyone singing, headbanging and dancing even in the sitting areas where we were. Rammstein was at the top of their game and you could really feel how into the performance they were.

I was worried that my dad would hate it (though he likes Rammstein just fine) and when my dad doesn't like it he shows it. He'll cross his arms and sulk all the way through. But he loved it!
He applauded with the rest of the crowd, asked questions about song and often prodded me going "Oh God, that's crazy/amazing!" grinning and laughing all the way through. Really made me happy to see him like that too :). he even joined in on the long standing ovation the band received at the end (and really deserved!)

Rammstein played like beasts for over 1,5 hours once again showing other live bands how it's done. Spitting and throwing fire. Strapping fireworks on themselves and dancing around with it, riding the crowd in a rubber boat.

I love my boys so much. If they come back 'round here I'll definitely be there again ~<3

*I'm still sad my brother wouldn't come though, and he's a diehard rock fan*

Congratulations to president Obama for winning the Nobel Peace Prize!

Also, Valkyrie Profile 2 (which no one ever seems to play) is still one of the most addictive RPG's EVER *incoherent fangirling goes here. And it has some of the most badass female characters. I have a bit of a girl-crush on this one in particular:

When you get sick, do you prefer to go it alone or be doted upon by a friend, partner, or parent?

View Answers

It depends on how sick I am.

Right now I have a have a minor cold (light head-ache, sore throat, sneezing) and I've been home alone for over a week, which suits me fine. I took some days of from school (because our school is campaigning "anti-germs" right now) and as long as I eat warm, healthy meals and drink plenty I'm fine on my own.

However, when I have that hammer-against-my-skull-gotta-vomit-ice-icey-cold-stuff keeps-pouring-outta-my-nose-feeling-like-crap sickness? Yeah, I at least like to have my parents around to get me some medicine and make me something warm. And to give me some cuddles, which they fortunately give quite nicely :)

Oh my, I just noticed how long it's been since I last updated >->;

School is starting soon. I have the most afwul school in the region no doubt, with the most lazy, incompetent teachers in the world. But I keep going, because everyone at home is rooting for me to get that piece of paper, and yeah, I really do want that diploma myself too. I'm so glad I made it to my final year.
I want to find a good job at a nice office in a nice hospital and I'll be a Very Happy Girl then.

I hope everyone had a wonderful summer so far. I can't believe it's almost over. It went by so fast for me ♥

I didn't intend to go see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, because I didn't really like the changes they apparently made (like continuing to let Hermione steal other peoples lines, no funeral and so on).

Alas, my plan was twarted.

This afternoon my mom called and was all like "DID YOU SEE HARRY POTTER YET?!" and I'm like "...No" and she goes "LOL LETS GO TOMORROW NIGHT THEN" and I go, without thinking "Okay, fine". *facepalm*

It's actually kinda our tradition. We always went to see the Harry Potter movies together since the first one came out. Mom's never read the books, but she really likes the movies and it's always been a good chance to spend to together, so yeah...

I'm actually interested now that I know I'm seeing it tomorrow, but Yates and his Hermione-the-Goddess complex is kind of annoying.
